"Follow the maxim that 'the best way of learning is doing', piping legend-turned-tutor Barry Donaldson forms the College of Piping Training and Development Pipe Band to enter the World Championships. With the emphasis on participation rather than winning, there are no auditions and little rehearsal for the pipers and drummers of varying standard that arrive in Glasgow from aroung Europe to join up. But not all of them ware of the band's lowly ambitions. This amusing film follows the fledgling band through two days of meyhem and mutiny as they battle the elements and themselves in a quest to make it to the 'trigger' of the most prestigious event of the pipe band world. Will the true spirit of Scotland win the day?"
